Robins CI Adapted Softball Loses Thriller in Season Opener
The Robbinsdale/Hopkins/Mound-Westonka/St. Louis Park Robins CI division adapted softball team rallied after a slow start but fell just short in an 11-10 loss to White Bear Lake in the season opener for the Robins.
After White Bear Lake scored three in the first and two more in the second to go up 5-0, the Robins scored two runs in the third and two more in the fourth to pull within 5-4.
The Bears added three in the top of the sixth and two in the seventh to go up 11-6, but the Robins almost caught up with a four-run rally in the bottom of the seventh that ended one run short of tying it up.
