Providence Boys Basketball Falls in 5AA Semifinals
The Providence boys basketball team saw its season end in the Section 5AA semifinals Tuesday night, falling 84-68 to top-seeded Minneapolis North.
The Polars built a 43-26 lead at halftime and held a double-digit lead the rest of the game.
De’Meiko Anderson scored 20 points, one of five North players to score in double figures.
Mark McCarthy scored 25 points and Liam Carney 23 for the Lions who finish the season with a record of 20-9.
North (24-6) plays Maranatha Christian Academy (23-6) in the Section 5AA championship Friday night at Augsburg University.
