Providence Academy Softball Falls to Mounds Park Academy
The Providence Academy softball team entered the first game of a doubleheader Friday against Mounds Park Academy without a loss.
That changed in a big way as Mounds Park beat the Lions 19-1 in five innings.
The Panthers scored six runs in the top of the first, and put the game away with a ten-run fifth inning.
Providence did bounce back to take the second half of the doubleheader 2-1.
The Lions are the number two seed for the Section 5AA tournament and open postseason play Tuesday.
