Providence Academy Girls Basketball Team Advances to Semifinals
The Providence Academy girls basketball team advanced to the state class AA semifinals with a 47-42 win over Sauk Centre.
The Lions trailed 20-14 at halftime but used a 19-4 run in the second half to take the lead for good.
The Mainstreeters made a late push to make it interesting but couldn’t catch up.
Kyra Miller had 14 points to lead Providence Academy, with Grace Counts adding 12 and Hailey Hohenecker 11.
Providence meets Duluth Marshall in the semifinals Friday night.
