Providence Academy Girls Basketball Sets High Goals for Season
The Providence Academy girls basketball team is aiming to get back to the state tournament this season after reaching the Class AA championship game last season.
Four starters- Grace Counts, Maria Counts, Maddyn Greenway, and Brooke Hohenecker- return for the Lions. Expectations are high for this team. “All that outside noise we don’t really want to care about, we care about what’s happening in our gym right now. People can rank us, they can say we’re no good, they can say whatever they want but we just worry about our expectations and what we think of ourselves,” says head coach Conner Goetz.
Brian Cosgriff, who teaches at Providence, joins the coaching staff as an assistant this season. Cosgriff coached Hopkins to seven state championships in 21 seasons.
