Providence Academy Girls Basketball Set to Defend State Title
The Providence Academy girls basketball team is hungry for another championship.
The Lions are the defending state champs in Class AA, and they are seeded number one for this year’s tournament.
Providence crushed holy Family 89-36 in the Section 5AA final to improve to 27-2.
Included in that win total: victories over the top seed in Class AAAA, Hopkins, and the top seed in AAA, Becker.
Providence faces Lake Crystal Wellcome Memorial in the AA quarterfinals Wednesday at 6:00 p.m. at Williams Arena.
