Providence Academy Girls Basketball Routs Maranatha
The Providence Academy girls basketball routed Maranatha Christian Academy 93-36 in the Section 5AA semifinals.
The Lions are ranked number one in class AA, and are the top seed in the section.
After a back-and-forth start, Providence took control with a dominant stretch.
They raced to a 58-17 halftime lead and never looked back.
8th grader Maddyn Greenway scored 28 points in the first half and 39 total for Providence.
Grace Counts had 21 in the first half and 32 total.
London Salberg-Thornton had 25 to lead Maranatha.
Providence Academy faces second seed Holy Family in the section final Friday at Ausburg.
