Providence Academy Girls Basketball Rolls Into State AA Tournament
Maddyn Greenway scored 34 points to lead the Providence Academy girls’ basketball team to an 89-36 rout of Holy Family in the Section 5AA championship game.
The Lions (27-2) built a 47-21 halftime lead and won their 27th straight game as they head back to state to defend their 2022 championship.
Hope Counts added 14 points and Brooke Hohenecker 11 for Providence.
The Lions are the top seed for the Class AA tournament and play Lake Crystal Wellcome Memorial (29-1) in the quarterfinal round Wednesday at 6:00 pm at Williams Arena.
