Providence Academy Girls Basketball Loses 1st Game of Season
The Providence Academy girls basketball team lost for the first time this season Thursday night, falling 44-38 to Concordia Academy.
The Lions (12-1) led the game 25-24 at halftime and later 35-26 in the second half before the Beacons ran off sixteen straight points to take the lead and earn the win.
Ivane Tensaie scored 12 points to lead Concordia in scoring.
Grace Counts scored 12 points with Brooke Hoknecker and Maddyn Greenway netting 10 each for Providence.
The Lions are ranked third in the state in Class 2A. The Beacons are ranked 7th.
