Providence Academy Girls Basketball Loaded for Another Title Run
The Providence Academy girls’ basketball team is coming off a state title in March of this year and looks to be loaded for another championship run this season.
Freshman guard Maddyn Greenway is in her third year as a starter. The all-state player averaged nearly 24 points per game last season and is one of four Lions’ starters returning.
The team has loaded up its non-conference schedule with tough games including January games against Class 3A power Becker and Class 4A’s defending champions, Hopkins.
Providence has already played three tough games, including a loss to Becker in the Tip-Off Classic at Hopkins over the weekend.
The Lions (1-2) play their home opener Wednesday against Mahtomedi in a game you can watch live on CCX.
