Providence Academy Girls Basketball Eyes First-Ever 4-Peat
No team in MSHSL girls basketball history has ever won four consecutive girls basketball state championships.
The Providence Academy girls basketball team hopes to be the first-ever to “4-Peat” after this weekend.
The Lions come into the class AA state tournament with a 29-0 record, including wins in the regular season over six of the eight teams in the class AAAA state tournament field.
Maddyn Greenway leads the way for the Lions, averaging 33 points per game.
Emma Millerbernd (14.5 ppg), Hope Counts (13.5 ppg), Beckett Greenway (12 ppg), and Mckenna Schaefer (11 ppg) all score in double figures as well.
Providence Academy earned the #1 seed in the AA state tournament and will open against New Richland-Hartland-Ellendale-Geneva on Wednesday.
