Providence Academy Girls Basketball Caps Season with Fifth Title in a Row
Maddyn Greenway scored 33 points and won her fifth state championship in girls basketball as Providence Academy beat Duluth Marshall 95-60 in the Class AA title game.
The five straight titles for the Lions is a Minnesota record for consecutive championships.
Greenway finished her prep career with 5,621 points- the most in Minnesota history and third all-time in the nation. She also set a Minnesota record with 439 points in the six state tournaments she played in.
Emma Millerbernd added 21 points and Lexi Nicolai 19 for the Lions (28-4).
Chloe Johnson scored 22 points to lead Marshall in scoring.
