Providence Academy Girls Basketball Advances to Section Final
The Providence Academy girls basketball team advanced to the Section 5AA final.
The Lions beat Holy Family 67-39 in the semifinals Wednesday.
Providence held the Fire to nine first half points to lead 27-9 at the half.
Holy Family rallied to within ten before the Lions regained control and pulled away.
Kyra Miller scored 16 points to lead a balanced attack for Providence.
Hailey Hohenecker added 13 with Maria Counts and Grace Counts each scoring 12.
The Lions play Watertown-Mayer for the section title Friday at St. Cloud State University.
