Providence Academy Girls Basketball Advances to Championship Game
The Providence Academy girls basketball team advanced to the championship game of the state class AA tournament Tuesday with a 58-54 win over New London-Spicer.
Brooke Hohenecker scored 16 points, 12 of them on three-pointers, to lead the Lions in scoring along with Maddyn Greenway who also netted 16.
Maria Counts added 15 points and Grace Counts 10 as Providence handed New London-Spicer its first loss of the season.
Providence Academy (22-1) meets Albany (23-1) in the state AA championship game Friday at 3:00 p.m. at the Target Center.
