Providence Academy Football Loses Season Opener to Zimmerman
The Providence Academy football team dropped its season opener Friday, losing 49-20 to Zimmerman.
After falling behind 7-0, the Lions tied the game with a defensive touchdown. Jon Wiseman forced a fumble that Quinn LaCombe picked up and ran the final 33 yards to tie the score.
Zimmerman though scored three more touchdowns in the first quarter to lead 28-7 after one.
Thomas McEachern and Rian Schmidt scored two touchdowns each to lead the Thunder.
Dae Dae McCrimmon and Nolan Schneider scored the other touchdowns for the Lions, who play at Delano Friday.
