Providence Academy Football Hopes to Maintain Excellence
The Providence Academy football team will have a lot of new faces in the lineup this fall but they don’t expect a big dropoff.
The Lions were 7-3 last fall, with a four-point loss to eventual state class AAAA champion Becker and a pair of losses to state semifinalist Orono.
They’ll be strong up front, with an offensive line that averages 270 pounds.
Two-way linemen Deacon Seelen, Stryker Johnson, and Jon Wiseman are among the key returners.
Junior JJ Rooney steps in at quarterback and has good potential, with Daijor McCrimmon looking to shine at running back.
The Lions open the season against Zimmerman Friday August 29th.
