Providence Academy Football Blanks Delano
The Providence Academy football team intercepted six passes, returning two of them for touchdowns, on the way to a 31-0 Homecoming win over Delano.
Romeo Sweet’s interception return for a score in the first quarter gave the Lions the lead for good.
Magnus Hansen threw a 28-yard touchdown pass to Matthew Hunter to give Providence a 14-0 lead after a quarter.
Noah Boro’s 22-yard field goal late in the second quarter put Providence up 17-0 at the half.
The Lions added second half touchdowns from Luke Trader on an interception return and Tony Ernster’s fourth-quarter rushing touchdown.
