Providence Academy Boys Soccer Beats St. Paul Academy
The Providence Academy boys soccer team is making strides this season.
They showed their improvement by beating St. Paul Academy 2-0 Tuesday night.
The Lions had lost to SPA 5-0 last season.
A pretty even first half featured strong defense and limited scoring chances.
Providence finally broke the deadlock with just over eleven minutes left in the match.
John Paul Luedke received a pass and made a strong turn with the ball to fire a shot home.
Luedke added an insurance goal with a little more than two minutes to play on a feed from Sam Schroeder.
St. Paul Academy got a penalty kick with 1:50 left but the shot banged off the crossbar.
Providence Academy is now 3-5 this season.
