Providence Academy Boys Hockey Outlasts Breck in Section 2A Quarterfinal
A four-goal first period powered the Providence boys hockey team to a 5-4 win over Breck in the Section 5A quarterfinal round.
The Mustangs were able to cut the down to one twice during the game when they were down 3-0 and then 5-2, but could not find the back of the net to tie the game up.
Louis Wehmann led Providence Academy with four points and two goals scored.
Ben Amato kept the Mustangs in the game with four goals scored on the night.
Breck finishes its season with a 11-15 record.
The Lions will face off against Orono in the Section 2A semifinal on Saturday at the St. Louis Park Rec Center.
