Prep Football Training Camp Report: Providence Academy
Our prep football training camp report today features the Providence Academy Lions.
The Lions return a strong senior group as they look to improve on last year’s 3-7 record.
Gophers recruit Abu Tarawallie, a two-way lineman, is back after missing most of last season with an injury. Other key seniors returning include quarterback Magnus Hansen, linebacker/fullback Grant Sandell, and linebacker/ running back Joe Berghult.
Providence took a step up in competition last season against a class AAAA schedule and they say they know what it takes to compete better with those strong teams this fall.
Providence Academy is a co-op that also includes players from Maranatha Christian Academy, Heritage Christian Academy, West Lutheran, and River Tree School.
The Lions open the season at Byron Friday.
