Prep Football Training Camp Report: Brooklyn Center Centaurs
The Brooklyn Center football team is looking to take a step forward after a tough 2022 season.
The Centaurs were 1-8 last fall.
They do have more seniors than in the past few years and a large group that played extensive varsity minutes returning.
Quarterback Deshaun Pongsak leads the returners. The third-year starter has plenty of college potential and is looking for a breakout season.
Two-way lineman Avell Ross-Washington, running back/linebacker Byron Hawkins, and wide receiver/defensive back Gabriel Morales are other key returners.
The Centaurs open the season at home Thursday at 6:00 p.m. against Foley.
