Prep Football Training Camp Report: Brooklyn Center
The Brooklyn Center football team has some young talent to build around this season.
They lost a few high impact players to graduation from last year’s 5-4 team, but feel good about this year’s group.
Junior quarterback Deshaun Pongsak is a good dual-threat leader of the offense.
Sophomore center Avell Ross-Washington was co-lineman of the year in the Twin City Red subdistrict as a freshman.
Senior wide receiver/defensive back Tavionte Powell, junior wide receiver/defensive back Gabriel Morales, and junior running back/linebacker Byron Hawkins are also key players.
The Centaurs open the season at home Friday against Minneapolis Edison in a game you can see live on CCX Sports.
