Park Center Girls Basketball Pulls Away from Champlin Park
The Park Center girls basketball team built a nine-point halftime lead and then dominated the second half on the way to a 90-47 win over Champlin Park.
The win gives the Pirates a split of the season series with the Rebels.
Park Center broke a 22-22 tie, outscoring the Rebels 10-1 to close the first half with a 32-23 lead.
They quickly widened the gap and controlled the second half.
Brianna Foster and Jaliyah Diggs each scored 16 points and Mariam Olowonle had 15 to lead a balanced Park Center attack.
Former Pirate Nyomi Crushshon had 14 to lead Champlin Park.
Park Center has now won four of its past five games to improve to 6-8 this season.
