Park Center Football Wins Section Playoff Opener
Isaac Davis threw for one touchdown and ran for another in helping lead the Park Center football team to a 19-0 win over Irondale in the quarterfinal round of the Section 6AAAAA playoffs.
The Pirates (4-5) scored early in the game off a punt block by Kris Roberts that was scooped up by Cullen O’Roarke and returned 36 yards for a touchdown for a 7-0 lead.
In the second quarter Davis ran for a nine-yard touchdown and in the closing seconds of the first half threw a nine-yard TD pass to DeAnthony Miller.
It was the second time this season that the Pirates blanked the Knights.
Park Center plays at top-seeded Rogers in the section semifinals on Saturday afternoon.
