Park Center Boys Basketball Pulls Away to Beat Champlin Park
The Park Center boys basketball team was challenged early but pulled away to beat Champlin Park 90-51 in the Section 5AAAA quarterfinals.
The Pirates are the number one seed in the section, while Champlin Park was seeded eighth.
The Rebels played well early and had the lead for a portion of the first half.
Park Center turned it up and built a 51-35 halftime lead and then rolled in the second half.
Five Park Center players scored in double figures, led by Braeden Carrington with 17.
The Pirates will host Mounds View in the semifinals Tuesday.
