Park Center Boys Basketball Beats Champlin Park
The top-ranked Park Center boys basketball team stayed unbeaten this season with an 89-72 win over Champlin Park Thursday.
The Pirates jumped out to quick 7-0 and 13-4 leads before the Rebels battled back in the middle part of the first half.
Park Center stretched the lead back to 20 at 51-31 at the half.
Champlin Park stayed in the game in the second half but the margin stayed in double figures down the stretch.
Jackson Fowlkes hit five three-pointers, four of them in the second half, and scored 27 points to lead Park Center.
Casmir Chavis had 24 and Ari Gooch had all 17 of his points in the first half.
Kyler Pust had 20 to lead the Rebels.

Park Center improved to 3-0 with the win. They face Lakeville North in the Breakdown Sports Tipoff Classic Saturday at Hopkins.
