University of Connecticut guard Paige Bueckers saved the best for the last.
The 2020 high school All-American basketball player from Hopkins High School scored 15 points in either overtime or double overtime Monday night to lead the Huskies to a 91-87 win over North Carolina State.
The win sends UConn to its 14th consecutive Final Four appearance—this year in Minneapolis.
Bueckers, who scored 27 points in the game, will be coming home this week and she and her Huskies teammates will play Stanford in the national semifinals Friday at 8:30 pm at Target Center.
The national championship game is scheduled for Sunday.
