Paige Bueckers’ Freshman Season Ends With Slew of Awards
2020 Hopkins High School graduate Paige Bueckers had a season to remember in college women’s basketball.
The University of Connecticut freshman won the Wooden, Naismith Trophy and Associated Press player of the year awards, plus the Nancy Lieberman Award recognizing her as the top point guard in Division I women’s basketball.
Bueckers was also selected to multiple All-American teams.
She averaged 20 points, nearly six assists, five rebounds and over two steals per game for the Huskies, who lost in the national tournament semifinals.
