Ostapeic’s Hat Trick Leads Wayzata Girls Hockey Over Armstrong/Cooper
Julia Ostapeic netted a hat trick to lead Wayzata girls hockey to a 6-2 win over Armstrong/Cooper in the Section 6AA quarterfinals.
The Trojans also received goals from Christie Russo, Vanessa Swensson, and Reagan Williams.
Armstrong/Cooper stayed within striking distance with goals from Maddie Wahl and Bri LeVoir, but couldn’t tie the game up.
Wayzata advances to the 6AA semifinals, they’ll play Benilde-St. Margaret’s on Wednesday at 6:00 at Parade Ice Garden.
The Wings end their season with an 8-17-1 record.
