Osseo-Park Center Girls Hockey Rallies Past Willmar
The Osseo-Park Center girls hockey team rallied past Willmar for a 4-3 win.
The game was a quarterfinal round contest at the Armstrong-Cooper Holiday Classic.
Willmar scored on its first two shots on goal, scoring nine seconds apart early in the first period.
The Stars got on the board late in the first, and they controlled much of the game from there.
Presley Kraemer tipped in Tessa Strand’s shot for the only goal of the second period for O-PC.
Taverie Sherner scored her second and third goals of the game in the third as the Stars took a 4-2 lead.
The Cardinals made it interesting with a power play goal in the final minute but Osseo-Park Center held on.
The Stars face Fergus Falls in the semifinals Friday.
