Osseo Legion Baseball Routed by Farmington in State Opener
It was a game they’d like to forget for the Osseo Post 172 American Legion baseball team.
Farmington Post 189 scored three runs in the first and six more in the third inning on the way to a 10-0, six-inning win over Osseo in the first game of pool play at the state tournament.
An RBI double by Jacob Traynor and an RBI single by Grady Renwick keyed the three-run first for Farmington, last year’s state champion.
They combined solid hitting with a shaky inning in the field for Osseo in the third to tack on six more.
Osseo managed just two hits in the game.
Osseo meets Tri-City Red Friday at noon in game two.
