Osseo Girls Basketball Wins Season Opener in OT
The Osseo girls basketball team edged Fridley 64-63 in overtime in a back and forth battle in the Orioles’ season opener.
Teshaya Anderson hit a rebound basket to tie the score with 11 seconds left in overtime, then after getting fouled on a drive to the hoop Anderson made the winning free throw with less than a second remaining.
Jaelyn Choi had 19 points and led an Osseo comeback with three three-pointers after Fridley had built a seven-point lead midway through the second half.
Anderson added 10 points.
Brandi Washington had 17 points to lead Fridley.
