Osseo Football Capitalizes on Big Plays, Knocks Off Rogers 24-14
The Osseo football team earned a big win on their home turf, taking down Rogers 24-14.
A 23-yard Ethan Khamvongsouk field goal late in the first quarter gave the Orioles their first lead of the game.
Quarterback Wes Kranz scored the Osseo’s first touchdown with a one-yard sneak in the second quarter.
Stephon Barcenas came up with two huge plays for Osseo.
Right before halftime, Barcenas picked off a Rogers pass and returned it 60 yards for an Orioles touchdown.
Then after halftime, the senior wide receiver/cornerback caught a 49-yard pass and turned it into a touchdown to give Osseo a three-score lead.
The Orioles defense locked down late in the game to secure the 24-14 win. Osseo is now 2-1 on the season.
