Osseo Cross Country Program Off and Running in ’24 Season
The Osseo High School boys and girls cross country teams feature a younger group of varsity runners compared to their ’23 counterparts.
While both teams lost a number of athletes to graduation, this year’s seniors say they are excited about the talent in the up and coming runners.
The Orioles competed in the Irish Invitational meet last Friday in Rosemount with the Osseo boys finishing 10th out of 21 teams. Senior Quinlan Rundquist finished eighth overall.
The Osseo girls placed 12th out of 18 teams at Rosemount. Freshman Ashley Damsgard turned in the Orioles top time and placed 52nd overall.
This Saturday morning is the annual Osseo Lions Roar 5K run, the program’s biggest fundraising event. The race is open to anyone, and more information can be found at osseolionsroar5k.com
