Osseo Boys Hockey Skates Past Coon Rapids
The Osseo boys hockey team got off to a strong start on the way to a 4-2 win over Coon Rapids Thursday.
The Orioles scored twice in the first period on goals from Drew LaBerge and Eli Larson.
LaBerge added a power play goal in the second period to give Osseo a 3-0 lead through two periods.
The Cardinals battled back with two goals in the third before Luke Sawicky scored an empty-netter just before the final buzzer to give the Orioles the 4-2 win.
LaBerge had two goals and an assist for Osseo. Bennet Prokop had two assists.
Goalie Justin Halvorson made 28 saves to earn the win.
Osseo is 6-4 after the win, already surpassing last season’s victory total of four.
