Osseo Boys Basketball Takes Round One from Park Center
The Osseo boys basketball team started strong and then held off District 279 rival Park Center for a 67-62 win Friday at Park Center.
The Orioles jumped out to a 16-6 lead and maintained an eleven point lead at the half.
That lead grew to 50-33, and it looked like the Orioles might put it away early.
Park Center had other ideas, and battled back to within three late before the Orioles sealed the win.
Josh Ola-Joseph was superb for Osseo. The 6’6″ junior poured in 30 points to lead all scorers.
Donald Ferguson hit some clutch baskets and finished with 14 for the Orioles.
Jalen Cook led the comeback for Park Center and finished with 22.
Braeden Carrington had 15 and Ayouba Berthe 13 for the Pirates.
The teams meet again this Thursday January 28 at Osseo in a game you can see live on CCX Sports.
