Osseo Boys Basketball Rallies Past Totino-Grace
The Osseo boys basketball team closed strong Monday, rallying to beat Totino-Grace 67-64.
The Orioles trailed for most of the game before overcoming an eight-point deficit to secure the win.
The Eagles went up 50-42 on a Taison Chatman layup but Osseo wasn’t done.
Isaiah Johnson’s baseline dunk tied the score at 52-52.
Tyirece Waits then hit the biggest shot of the night, burying a three while being fouled with about six minutes to play.
The four-point play for Waits gave Osseo the lead for good at 56-52.
Waits and Benard Omooria scored 16 points each to lead Osseo.
Chatman had 26 and Demarion Watson 21 to lead the Eagles, who are ranked number one in class AAA.
Osseo, rated tenth in class AAAA, faces Maple Grove Wednesday.
