Osseo Boys Basketball Grinds Out Win over Maple Grove
The Osseo boys basketball team scored its second big win of the week, beating Maple Grove 55-43.
The Orioles (13-5 overall, 9-2 NWSC) were coming off an emotional win over Totino-Grace, the top-ranked team in class AAA, on Monday night. Osseo is ranked eighth in class AAAA.
Against Maple Grove the Orioles jumped out to a 10-0 lead and never allowed the Crimson (6-10, 6-4) to get closer than four points.
Blessed Barhayiga scored 15 points to lead Osseo in scoring with Tyirece Waits adding 14 and Benard Omooria 12.
Raoul Vaidya was the only Maple Grove player to score in double figures with 11.
It was the only meeting of the regular season between the two teams.
