Osseo Boxer Caleb Truax Announces Retirement
Osseo native and pro boxer Caleb Truax announced Wednesday that he’s retiring from the ring.
Truax had 40 professional fights, finishing with a record 31-6-2. He gained the IBF world super middleweight title in 2017 by beating James DeGale.
Truax stepped back into the ring last June for the first time in 2 ½ years and lost a unanimous decision to Burley Brooks.
Truax, a former Osseo High School baseball and football player, is getting into the real estate business but plans to stay involved in boxing in some capacity.
