Osseo Beats Wayzata at Delano 4th of July Legion Baseball Tournament
The Osseo American Legion Baseball team defeated Wayzata 7-2 in the semifinals of the Delano Stars and Stripes 4th of July tournament.
Derek Nimz, Davis Wick and Brady Quan all delivered run-scoring hits in Osseo’s four-run second inning.
Matthew Kitzman earned the victory on the mound and also drove in a run. Osseo lost 4-2 to Edina in the tournament final.
Edina also won in 2019. There was no tournament in 2020 because of the pandemic.
