Osseo Baseball Rallies to Beat Totino-Grace in Playoff Opener
The Osseo baseball team spotted Totino-Grace an early four-run lead before rallying to beat the Eagles 7-6 in a first round game of the Section 5AAAA tournament.
The Eagles jumped out to a quick 4-0 in the top of the first inning, just minutes into the game.
Osseo scored one in the bottom of the first, two more in the second, and then three in the fourth to take the lead.
Cooper Skov overcame a rough first inning to pitch six innings for the win.
Trailing 7-5, Totino-Grace put together a rally in the top of the seventh.
The Eagles loaded the bases with no outs but scored just once on a sacrifice fly as Osseo escaped the jam to hold on for the win.
Osseo plays at top seed Champlin Park in the winner’s bracket Wednesday.
Totino-Grace meets Irondale in an elimination game Wednesday.
