‘Old School’ Football Powers Providence Academy
The Providence Academy football team has rushed for 1,148 yards and 16 touchdowns this season.
Opposing teams have run for a paltry 254 yards and one touchdown through four games against the Lions.
Running the football and stopping the run is the formula for success for undefeated Providence.
Head coach Colin Rooney calls senior running back/def. lineman Jake Meissner “The Terminator.” Meissner has rushed for 516 yards and eight touchdowns and on defense has six sacks and 12 tackles for loss.
