New Head Coach Leads Osseo Baseball into Season
Former assistant Sean Minder takes over as Osseo’s head baseball coach this spring.
Minder, who played for Roseville High School and collegiately at St. Mary’s in Winona, is in his fourth year in the Orioles’ program.
Just two regulars return on what will be a young team this season.
They are shortstop/pitcher Alex Chavez and outfielder Stephon Barcenas.
Osseo had a disappointing regular season last spring but came alive at playoff time, winning three games in the Section 5AAAA tournament before being eliminated.
That included a pair of wins over top seed Mounds View.
Osseo is slated to open the season at home against Totino-Grace Wednesday night at 7:00.
