New Head Coach Leads Cooper Girls Basketball into Season
Former assistant Ebony Rich is the new head coach in the Cooper girls basketball program.
Rich was an assistant to Raheem Simmons for the past four seasons, and played her high school ball at Hopkins.
The Hawks won 20 games last winter, but graduated five seniors, three of whom are playing college basketball.
It’s a young group this winter, with just one senior.
That senior is a good one. Somah Kamara averaged a team-high 15.5 points last winter.
After a jamboree of scrimmages at Hopkins this weekend, the Hawks open the season November 28th at Orono.
You can see their home opener December 1st against Maranatha Christian Academy live on CCX Sports.
