Minnesota Prep Golfers Compete in Senior Showcase
With no high school season to play in this spring the Minnesota Junior PGA invited select seniors from the Class of 2020 to play in a one-day 18-hole golf tournament.
Over 100 boys competed on Tuesday at Bunker Hills in the Minnesota High School Senior Showcase, including several from the northwest suburbs.
Cooper Markham of Maple Grove and Ben Long of New Hope both shot rounds of 77 to tie for 27th place, low among local golfers.
The tournament was limited to 114 players and only included players from the Class of 2020.
Gunnar Broin of Chanhassen shot a 67 to win the event. The girls’ Showcase event is Wednesday.
