Metro West Baseball All-Stars Beat Metro North, Win Tournament
The Metro West All-Star team won the 48th annual High School All-Star Baseball Series over the weekend, finishing 2-1 in the tournament.
After a close loss to the North All-Stars on Friday, Metro West came back to defeat the Metro North 15-7 and the South 4-3 Saturday to win the title.
Jake Berkland of Wayzata played on the Metro West team.
The Metro North roster featured local players Justin Brooks of Champlin Park, Spencer Pederson of Osseo and Jay Krieger from Totino-Grace.
