Maranatha Softball Wins Key Skyline Conference Game
The Maranatha Christian Academy softball team won a key Skyline Conference game Wednesday, beating St. Agnes 4-0.
It’s the second win of the season for the Mustangs over the Aggies and puts MCA in good position to win the conference.
Maranatha is 6-0 in conference play and St. Agnes is 7-2.
The Mustangs scored single runs in the first, third, fourth, and fifth innings.
Ashley Yost pitched a shutout for the Mustangs, and got some defensive help in the seventh to preserve the shutout.
With the bases loaded, MCA left fielder Gracelyn Kersey-Schutta caught a line drive and double a runner off third base to end the game.
