Maranatha Softball Falls to St. Croix Prep
The Maranatha softball team fell to St. Croix Prep 16-4 in a key game Thursday.
The game was a battle for first in the Minnesota Christian Athletic Association.
Maranatha had a one-game lead over St. Croix in the conference standings entering the game.
The Mustangs scored two runs in the first and two more in the third to build a 4-1 lead.
St. Croix came back strong with five runs in the fifth inning to take a 6-4 lead.
They blew it open with ten runs in the top of the seventh.
It’s just the second loss this spring for Maranatha.
