Maranatha Boys Basketball Falls to Holy Family in Key Matchup
The Maranatha Christian Academy boys basketball team struggled in the second half on the way to a 93-60 loss to Holy Family.
Holy Family is rated number one in class AA, while Maranatha is rated third. They are also both in Section 5AA, meaning the game was important for seeding purposes.
After a solid start for Maranatha, Holy Family closed the first half strong to build a 45-33 at halftime.
The second half was all Fire as they pulled away for the big victory.
All five Holy Family starters scored in double figures, led by their pair of 6’11” forwards.
Collin Mulholland had 25 points and Boden Kapke 23.
Bailey McDonald scored 24 to lead MCA.
The Mustangs dropped to 21-3 with the loss; Holy Family is now 21-2.
