MapleBrook U15 Boys Blanked in 1st Match at USA Cup
The MapleBrook Premier Under 15 boys soccer team lost its opening match of pool play Tuesday at the USA Cup youth soccer tournament, falling 9-0 to the Excelsior Eagles from Jamaica.
Matthew Murray and Dave Whittaker each scored two first-half goals to help give the Eagles a 7-0 halftime lead.
Pool play in most age brackets continues through Thursday with championship matches scheduled for Saturday.
USA Cup is in its 40th year and is the largest youth soccer tournament in North America.
